Wanna Surf? Look Towards Hawksbay

PTCL has reportedly finalized plans to establish a second 'landing point' for an alternate international submarine cable system. Expected to be someone on the Hawksbay (Karachi) beach, the landing point will allow the termination of the SMW4 submarine cable system in Pakistan. Currently, the SMW3 cable system is the only worth-mentioning connection that Pakistan has with the external world. The two STM-1 IP circuits that PTCL has procured from Singtel and BT are carried over this sole connection.
